Review Body: I did the sunrise trek on May 18th and got lucky with perfect weather for a stunning sunrise. The few clouds on the horizon made the sky more dramatic in my view. My great driver, Mangku, picked me up at my hotel in Ubud at 2:30am and drove me to meet my trekking guide at the base of Mt Batur. At the trekking base, there are nice restrooms and a chance for a hot Balinese coffee, hot tea or hot chocolate before setting out to hike. I had my own headlamp and my guide privded a trekking pole (which was helpful and gave me extra balance for the steep sections). My trekking guide (who I had all to myself) carried my water for me & was very helpful during the trek. He stopped frequently to check on me and asked if his pace was OK for me, and he brought us to a section of the summit that was less crowded for the sunrise, which I appreciated. Back at the tracking base after the hike my driver escorted me to the Hot Springs on Lake Batur, and then to Nungnung Falls for me to walk down the stairs and go for a dip. The driver was very patient and gave me as much time as I wanted at the Hot Springs and the falls. I am very happy I did this track and would recommend it!

Review Body: Stayed in Seminyak so the pick up time was at 1.30am. My driver, Putu, drove to the base safely in less than 2 hours! At the base, met my personal guide, Nengah. Was given a 500ml water and a hot cup of tea to warm myself up as it was 17 degrees and the wind was making it colder. Also they have blanket/warm jackets for rental (IDR 50k) in case you did not bring enough layers for the summit. As i was going solo, it was really up to my own pace. My guide was really very helpful (lent me a hand whenever there's a steep step) and will check on me every now and then. Took a few short breaks and made it to the top in less than 1.5hrs! I would say it is quite a moderate hike as apart from the steep ascent, you will be hiking on loose rocks and gravel most of the time. While waiting for the first light, my guide prepared a light breakfast for me. it was really cold up there as your body cooled down, so be well prepared! and i must say, THE SUNRISE VIEWS ARE EPIC. The cold was totally worth it. What a 10/10 experience!!

Review Body: Overal great experience. We booked the less crowded route, but it did'nt feel like we missed out on something. Got picked up by our chauffeur Kadek Arcana at 2:30 a.m. in Ubud. Kadek informed us about the day's itinerary while driving to the starting point. We started our hike at 4:00 a.m. with the local guide Wayan and arrived at the top for the breakfast and sunrise experience at 5:45 a.m. Shout out to Wayan for assisting our mother in the ascend and descent of the trail. After breakfast we strolled around the caldera for some awesome views and nice pictures. After that we descended the mountain, arriving back at the starting point at 8:30 a.m. No crowds on the track, only some 4x4's on the lower part. On the way back we made at short stop at the coffee plantation, arriving back in Ubud at 10:30 a.m.

Review Body: This is the best thing we’re have done in Bali so far! The hike up is definitely challenging in places (and coming down for that matter) but the whole experience was special - the walk, the views, the breakfast at the top, the shared sense of achievement and our guide was great. We booked the ‘Hidden Paths’ walk - this wasn’t really what we got, in fact, for some of the walk, we were on a dirt road with jeeps passing us on their way up. On the way down, there were a few dirt bikes going up and down, sharing quite a narrow path with walkers. As with anywhere in Bali, the sound of a bike engine is never far away. Having said that, we enjoyed it anyway but if you are expecting to be ‘off the beaten track’ - you should clarify the route with your guide before you set off.

Review Body: This morning we had the honour to trek Mount Batur in Bali. The pick-up and communication is on point, Niko was there even 10 minutes early to pick us up. Upon arrival we were a bit nervous to climb up, but our guide Nengeh was fantastic. Showing us the right way and always in for a laugh! Upon arrival at the top we received a nice coffee and exchanged stories with a cigarette. The climb is moderately intense. Reasonable level of fitness is recommended but would not say it's too hard for people at a younger age. The trip down is a bit more treacherous, but the guide helps you out all the way, never without a big smile. Nengeh, Niko, thankyou for making this trip unforgettable! Review Body: I had a great time even despite the 2.30am wake-up! I had injured my knee on another walk the day before doing the Mt. Batur sunrise trek. My guide was attentive and patient and helped me at any stage that I struggled because of the injured knee, which although I am an experienced hiker, I did need. He encouraged me the whole trek, showed me some extra places around the summit. As well as my guide, my driver who picked me up from Batur Village was lovely. The trip back took over an hour when it should have taken less than 1/2 hour because there was the Ultra Trail being held in Kintamani the same day and the traffic was a disaster. This was my 2nd experience with seeksophie, and it won’t be the last.

Review Body: Driver(Sentana) picked us up from our homestay on time and provided local knowledge. The car was clean, air conditioned and the driver was very welcoming. Tour guide looked after us very well and selected the best routes for our ability. Was personalised experience as we were the only in the group. Breakfast was served near the top long with a hot drink allowing us to watch the sunrise in a sheltered area away from the crowds. Driver then took us to the hot springs after the hike and sorted out tickets, towels and lockers. The hot springs were clean, relaxing with a variety of poolsThe driver waited for us whilst we were in the hot springs and then transported us back to our accommodation.

Review Body: We LOVE everything about our Mt. Batur's Hidden Path with a local. We were picked by the friendliest and most skilled driver, Kadek. He shared with us alot about local Balinese culture and also gave us our space when he could see we wanted to rest. Our local guide, Kris was also awesome. He adjusted well to our pace and ensures our safety throughout the hike. He also is able to guide and advise us not only about the hike but also the timings of the hike, so that we get the best pictures at the popular spots amongst the HUGE crowd at the peak. He also helps us take the best pictures with his Instagram-worthy skills and the best videos with top tik-tok quality cuts.

Review Body: We had a fantastic day out, Angga was our driver and he was lovely, stopping at all the best places and giving us local tips and telling us about the culture. Made Rum was our tour guide for the mountain hike and he was wonderful, helping Giuliana in difficult parts of the hike, for which she was very grateful. The sunrise was absolutely beautiful and Made Rum made us breakfast at the top, boiled eggs, banana sandwiches, cereal bars and satsumas. Angga took us then to the hot springs and then also to a coffee plantation where we tried different coffees before taking us back to our hotel. Overall this trip was amazing, highly recommend.

Review Body: Our driver (named Madé) was punctual, courteous and drove the 2 1/2 hour journeys there and back safely. Our guide (also named Madé)for the hike was exceptional . I was recovering from an illness and without his help I would not have been able to achieve the walk up to the summit. We were lucky with the weather and were treated to a clear sky with clods below us during the sunrise - spectacular. The only negative part was being pestered (at the summit!) by street sellers trying to sell sweets and drinks and bracelets (for exhorbitant prices). They were more intrusive than was the presence of the other 200 spectators

Review Body: We highly recommend this hike. Ery was our guide and she was absolutely wonderful. Calm, encouraging, and always checking in to make sure we were okay during the hike. She kept the pace relaxed, found a quiet sunrise spot away from the crowds, and even prepared breakfast at the top. It felt personal and unrushed, exactly what you want when you’re up there in the dark, waiting for the first light to hit the mountains. Our driver Adi was also fantastic, punctual, friendly, and a smooth driver, which really matters when you’re being picked up at 3 AM.

Review Body: I had a great experience trekking Mount Batur with Seek Sophie. The entire trip was well organized, and our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful throughout the hike. He paced the trek well, checked in on us regularly, and made sure we reached the summit safely in time for sunrise. The views from the top were incredible, and the guide also shared interesting information about the volcano and surrounding area. Overall, it was a memorable experience and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bali.

Review Body: Mt Batur was truly so beautiful! Our guide Ketut Novi made such a difference to our experience - she knew exactly when we should start heading to different spots for the best views and to be first in queue, and was always checking in on us to make sure we're ok + provide a hand for trickier routes. This route was really empty for both the hike up and down but the small rocks made it quite slippery so do bring good shoes. Summit was crowded but because we got there early, we had a good quiet spot to watch the sunrise.

Review Body: We had a fantastic experience on our sunrise trek excursion. The weather cooperated nicely and we had fantastic views from the summit. The trip through Seek Sophie was well organized. Our trekking guide Ketut was excellent - very friendly, and took us on a low volume route. Our driver to and from, Masawan arrived at the 2:30 AM pickup location well in advance and let us know he was there. He was excellent as well - great driver and his shortcuts saved us quite a bit of time on our return journey to Ubud.

Review Body: I highly recommend this trek with seek Sophie! From pick-up to drop off we were very happy with our experience. Our driver was very communicative and on time for pick-up. Our guide, Mister, was great - very friendly, funny and knowledgeable. Although it’s an early morning start, the view at the top is so worth it. We also liked that the hike was pretty private - it was just the two of us and our guide which made the hike much more enjoyable as we could go at our own pace and the trails were also not packed.

Review Body: Had a good time! Cris (hope I spelt his name right!) was my guide and he was helpful and made sure I was safe throughout the hike. It was my first time hiking in Mt Batur, and the paths he took me on did feel less crowded. It was unfortunately too foggy to see the sunrise when I was at the summit, but obviously this is part & parcel of being in nature and I still got a good hiking experience. The dawn views were spectacular though. Thanks Cris & Wira, who drove me to the hiking starting point!

Review Body: We went for the Sunrise Trek, Nungnung waterfall and Coffee Plantation. Our guide for the trek, Putu, was great because he brought us to routes and photo points away from the large crowds. This is also one of the few tours that provide hiking sticks - we saw many other groups without sticks. Our driver, Mangku Angga, provided us a smooth and fast ride despite the long distances early in the morning. He was cheerful and ready to help. Thanks to both, it was a good experience!

Review Body: This experience was well worth the price! They picked us up from our hotel, provided coffee before the hike, and gave us breakfast at the top of Mt. Batur for sunrise! Our guide was very knowledgeable and fun. We took different trails and missed most of the crowds. Then they took us to the hotsprings, the coffee plantation, and finally back to our hotel. They made everything easy and seamless so we could show up and have fun! I highly recommend!

Review Body: i highly recommend doing the sunrise hike w Seek Sophie. My driver was jro kadek and my guide was Adi. and both were phenomenal. They were knowledgeable about the area and very nice! Kadek reached my hotel before time and also had neck pillows so i could sleep during the 1.5 hour ride to the trailhead. Adi kept a good pace during the hike being mindful of my knees . I highly recommend doing this hike with them and giving back to the locals!
