An Entomological Experience Like No Other!We're most famous for our honeybees, and now you can have the most interesting 3-in-1 excursion to our green sanctuary: Go up close to some animals crucial to our ecosystem: Bees, Ants, and Earthworms! This is a 1.5 hr interactive farm experience, perfect for kids and young families. Get them away from the computer screens and interacting with nature!What To Expect: 🐝 At Bee Encounter, don a bee suit and inspect native honeybee nests up close. Every colony in our apiary is rescued (i.e. saved from extermination), so you are supporting local ecology! Watch them hard at work harvesting pollen and nectar around the garden.🐜At Secret Life of Ants, learn more about these insects often misunderstood as 'pests'. Observe different species going about their daily lives in wacky formicariums (underground lairs) and do some live feeding. Your kids will love seeing their wonderful life cycles up close using macrophotography.🐛 At Wiggly Worms, go on a worm hunt in our bioactive garden! - 15 mins before selected timeslot
- Notes: This activity was run at The Sundowner's old location at a Siglap shophouse. Their new location is at the Old Bukit Timah Fire Station, and this experience will be the same as what was offered in Siglap. Do plan to arrive in the area 15 mins before to find parking. Sessions will start promptly at the appointed time only, and will start and end on time owing to subsequent sessions.
