9 Cool Things to Try in September!

Can you believe there are less than 90 working days to Christmas?! If you're looking for fun ways to spend time with friends and family this month, or to make new friends - here are some awesome ideas!

1

Exclusive Video & Graffiti Jam!

If you love being creative, and making content, this first-of-its-kind Video & Graffiti jam is the perfect way to spend an afternoon. During this 2-hour session, you'll get video tips from a Sony pro, and get to put those tips into action during a graffiti jam! Get messy, get creative and make a short film of it!

To amp up the fun, the best short film of the day will win a Sony ZV-1 Camera (worth $999), and $100 of Seek Sophie cash vouchers 🙌

This is an exclusive event only on Sat, 24 September 2022. Bring your friends!

2

Make New Friends over a Forest Campfire!

One of the things we miss from pre-pandemic days is the serendipity of meeting new people. Post-pandemic, it feels a little more difficult to meet new people organically, on a random night out.

If you're looking for a really cool way to meet new like-minded people, you would like this new social campfire experience! Hang out in the forest, enjoy a meal over the campfire and meet new people with a spirit of adventure. All you need is an open mind and a positive spirit!

3

Floating Waterpark at Lazarus Island

Want to cool down from the heat? Try this fun full-day floating waterpark experience at Lazarus Island! This includes taking a yacht to Lazarus Island, enjoying a BBQ lunch on board, and playing at the floating waterpark! Bounce off trampolines, try the thrilling corkscrew water slide, and play with the monkey swing!

Perfect for a day out with family and friends. Suitable for kids aged 10+.

4

Try Chinese Pastry Making

It's Mooncake Festival this month - what better way to celebrate than to try making Chinese pastries yourself?! Visit one of the last few traditional Chinese pastry shops in Singapore and go behind the scene to learn how these pastry master chefs hand make these tasty delicacies.

5

Kombucha Tasting & Making in Local Flavours

We love it when local foodie brands re-imagine food & drink in yummy local flavours! Catboocha is well-known for infusing local ingredients into their yummy kombuchas. Here you'll not only get to taste Kombucha in local flavours like Chrysanthemum, you'll also get to play around with their ingredients lab to make your own bespoke flavours! It's a super fun way to spend the afternoon with friends.

6

Try Incredible Omakase Private Dining

If you have a special occasion coming up, this is a once-in-a-lifetime special experience. The meal here is omakase-style, where Chef Justin will source the freshest market ingredients for the day and construct an incredible meal around them. On one day you might have huge freshly steamed crabs, and on another you might have the most succulent black pork you've ever tasted.

Every tiny detail is thought through - from the presentation of the dishes, to the textures of each course. Chef Justin is hugely passionate about his food, and his passion really shines through in the quality of the experience (just look at the rave reviews!). It's the perfect way to celebrate a special birthday, or even a proposal!

7

Weave a Gorgeous Wall Hanging

If you're looking to do something cool and creative on the weekends, try weaving your own wall hanging!

Here you'll learn to weave a gorgeous boho wall hanging in a Black and White house in lovely Holland Village. At this two hour class, Nat will show you how to set up a weaving loom, teach you several weaving techniques, and how to finish your weaving. Come away with a bespoke piece of fibre art to proudly display in your space.

8

Play an Outdoor Escape Game!

If you're looking for a fun way to spend time with friends, kids or even your team, try this outdoor escape game! Through solving a trail of clues around Holland Village, you'll stop by a secret coffee spot, uncover an old-school magazine store and find hidden gems that most locals don't know about! We weren't sure what to expect at first, but we absolutely loved it!

9

Pottery, But Make it Mindful

If you're feeling a little burnt out, or just craving a recharge, you're not alone. This mindful pottery workshop is for those who are looking for a more mindful, creative practice. It doesn't just teach you how to make a clay piece, it teaches you to embrace the journey of creating. You'll come away with a beautiful handmade piece, but also feel recharged and more connected with your work.
