After searching for a truly ethical elephant sanctuary, we are so happy we found Chang Chill! We had an amazing tour guide James who joked and laughed with us all day and made sure we were taken care of and supported throughout the day. We got to prepare the elephants lunch (hack up sugar canes) and watch them eat. The hotel pick up and drop off was so easy for us to manage, and they have loads of extra rain boots if you don’t have a good pair of shoes with you. They were accommodating about diet restrictions for lunch and ensured you felt a connection to all the elephants and their backstory. The elephants are so special and getting to be in their presence is truly magical. I would totally go back here and recommend people who want to ethically visit elephants to go only through Chang chill.

This was such a lovely half day activity to do when staying in Chiang Mai. I love that you get to just walk through the camp to see the elephants in their own space where they want to be - and we got lucky and saw all four along the main road part!

Brilliant experience seeing the elephants and watching them roam in the wild. It was lovely preparing food for them and our tour guide (can’t remember his name!) was lovely and really knowledgeable about the elephants. Highly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic experience. Everything went smoothly, from pick up by friendly driver, to a warm welcome by a gentle and knowledgeable guide. We got to see all 4 elephants extremely closely in their natural habitat without disturbing them in any way. It is exactly what I wanted from this tour. Thank you!
