In general, it was a good trip, but there is a lot of room for the improvement when it comes to communication and the tour description. The first discrepancy we ran across was the opportunity to add the pick-up option from Bali which would made our travels much easier and smoother. The system allowed us to add it and we were charged for the pick-up from Bali. I also added the note to my reservation that the pick-up from Bali had been paid for. Well, after a few days the provider got back to us saying it was not possible as only the drop-off in Bali can be added after completing a trip. I emailed Seek Sophie Team. They didn't bother to respond to my email even though I sent both email and the message in WhatsApp during their working hours on a week day. Having no reply from Seek Sophie and our trip being scheduled within couple of days we had to urgently book a flight. Seek Sophie responded a day before our trip saying the transfer cost would be refunded. Still, they didn't bother to update the website as it is still showing both pick-up and drop-off in Bali as an option. They didn't seem to care about the incorrect information on the website even though I advised them of the discrepancy. On the first day of the trip we visited the waterfall. It turned out that the hike to get closer to the waterfall involves getting into the water up to knee several times during this hike and involves a very slippery terrain. It was not mentioned on the website. The watershoes could be rented before starting the hike to the waterfall, but again - communication matters and it would be great to know all these details in advance. On day 2 we hiked to Mount Bromo and to the viewpoint to enjoy the sunrise. The pick-up from the hotel was scheduled for 3am. It took us 30 mins to get to the starting point of the hike to panoramic view and another 30 mins to get to the panoramic view. We had been standing for 2 hours at the viewpoint to wait for the sunrise. I would strongly recommend to adjust the pick-up time for 4:15am. Moreover, you would imagine that taking into consideration the price of the tour that the guide would take you both to the panoramic viewpoint and to Mt Bromo - well, it turned out we were on our own. In general, we didn't have a person who would always be there fir us during the trip. The driver spoke very basic English. He was in charge only of taking us from Point A to Point B and would not provide us with any details of the tours and wouldn't be around when we had to go on the excursions. The jeep driver or the hike guides on Day 1 and 3 would care only about their area of responsibility. Yes, we could and we did message the provider to get the answers to our questions, but we would expect having someone with us who is more involved. In general, the sights we visited on the trip were great, but the communication (description, logistics, involvement) can be improved. I find the trip to be overpriced for the offered product.

No regrets choosing Bromo Vacation. We had Ubay, our guide, bring us to the best photo spot (place that we would not have known if we were alone). The crowd was intense, but as the name of this tour suggested, we got there early to get a good sunrise spot and beat the crowd. Ubay even brought along comfy mat and blankets for us. Furthermore, Ubay brought cup noodles and hot drinks for us so we could enjoy warm supper / breakfast under the stars. He helped take endless photos for us through the trip and also shared with us his wealth of knowledge for the area and its culture. Our 2 drivers, though with us for short duration, were also courteous and helpful throughout. It was a short but wonderful trip, so thank you all once again!
