Nusa Penida's Two Souls | Slow Travel Adventure

Penida you absolutely stunning island, how we absolutely loved you! From the spectacular views, the different lifestyle from Bali and the kind and beautiful people, I would definitely recommend this experience! Just don’t forget your walking shoes! 😝

Our two-day tour of Nusa Penida was absolutely m-a-g-i-c-a-l. From cave temples and postcard beaches to snorkelling, every component was incredibly well organised and arranged, and gave us the most authentic experience of Nusa Penida (and one that we definitely could not have achieved on our own!). In all honesty we weren’t sure whether to visit Nusa Penida or not - but wow, we are SO glad that we did, and that we took the time to really experience all of its facets. Some of our most treasured memories will come from Tembeling and seeing Kelingking beach with our own eyes - the island is so untouched compared to Bali, and offers sights we’ve never seen before. Just fabulous.

Nyoman is the guide of dreams - ensuring we arrived at sites before the tourist rush and providing great detail and information about locations. We felt incredibly safe in his company, as well as in his car, as he navigated the mountain roads of Nusa. His small thoughtful touches like buying us peanuts to feed local monkeys were really appreciated, as are his camera skills! Thank you for all the amazing photos you took of us, so we can memorialise our trip properly.

Justin too was a wonderful host, thank you for being so understanding and catering to our needs, such as my anxiety around fast boats, and for your your recommendations (such as going to Tembeling) that took our experience to the next level. As we mentioned to you, you’ve made friends for life now! And you and/or Nyoman are welcome anytime to stay with us in the UK!

We had a great time in Nusa Penida on this tour. All our drivers and tour guides were friendly and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed the seaweed farm, it was a real highlight. Even though we got caught in a very heavy storm on the second day (travelling in rainy season!) everyone made sure we were looked after as well as possible. Highly recommend!

I had an amazing two days in Nusa Penida with Seek Sophie. All the details were arranged perfectly and the itinerary was well thought out for a mix of down time and activity. I unfortunately got injured almost immediately after stepping off the ferry by twisting my ankle (🤦‍♀️) and my guide was very patient and stopped for some medication for me at a local pharmacy. I vowed to now let my bad ankle stop me though and we explored both east and west sides of the island on different days. My favorite was actually the treehouse on the east and although I had to wait a crazy long time for pictures, the results were pretty epic. Diamond Beach was also a standout. Another plus to staying overnight was you get to TRex beach before all the day trippers. It was wonderful! I also enjoyed having a local experience at a seaweed farm although it wasn’t the right time of year to see the farming itself (I visited in early September). I also really appreciated that the guide was a local man who grew up on the island. Plus he was an absolute killer photographer and put up with all my shenanigans as a solo traveler. Overall, the trip was amazing and I would recommend anyone booking with this amazing company!
