Jero Mangku is an absolutely beautiful soul. I could have sat there all day talking to him and listening to his wise words. I've been at a crossroads in life and questioning if I've made the right choices. I thought I was happy with the life I've chosen but others have questioned that, so I started to doubt myself. Without asking anything of me, Geru Mangku laid out my life before me, explaining who I was and why. One little sentence he said to me shocked me completely at first but, as it sank in, I felt the most profound feeling of relief, contentment, and acceptance. I can't explain adequately the peace this experience has given me but it is something I'll carry with me for the rest of my life. If you are at all curious about this experience then do it! Go without any expectations and you will come away with more than you could possibly imagine.

From the pick up by Gede to the end of the evening, we were treated to a wonderful and interesting experience.
Fortunate to be the only guests, the opportunity to speak with Wayan, his family and the scientists was great. We spent time withem all, learning about the project, the Fireflies, managing to see them in the wild, and them individually.
Cooking good food in a traditional kitchen was very different to home, and I don't think many visitors would survive if left to their own devices with the available facilities. A testament to how good Balinese Cooking is.
The meal gave us an opportunity to speak with Wayan, a well travelled, educated and engaging man, who is passionate about the project, his culture and its history.
The evening was well worth the cost, especially when you take into account the good your money is doing.
We could've spent more time there, though hopefully we have encouraged you to take our place.

This was a beautiful and peaceful experience. The temple is less crowded and the guided ceremony was truly life changing. I highly recommend!

Wow… Where do we begin? My girlfriend and I had no expectations coming into this experience, but we left with our hearts, stomachs and souls full of stories, good food and inspiration. Wayan, his family, the students, everyone was so kind and we truly enjoyed every second of our stay. It was a very emotional experience somehow and it was a pleasure to get away from the busy city and touristy attractions. We were told the story of how the place came to be, we visited the firefly lab, took a tour of the farmer’s land and helped cook dinner before enjoying it by a candlelit dinner. At the end we got to see the fireflies over the rice field. Even our Gojek drivers waited for us to be done before driving us home <3 we made sure to pay them cash and they got a fat tip from us! Overall we recommend this tour and would rate it a 12/10. Thank you Wayan, thank you to everyone we had the chance to meet

Everything about this experience was amazing!! The food was delicious and very traditional. It was awesome to hear about the traditional way of life in Bali through Wayan. Wayan is also very funny and great at keeping everyone entertained through his humour! The firefly’s were also amazing to see flying around the rice fields. Would highly recommend to anyone who is wanting a relaxing and educational evening.

What an incredible, profound and special experience. Putu is extremely kind and knowledgeable, and with the help of her cousin Agung, it made it such a memorable day. The deep connection felt with their guidance and support is not something I’ll ever forget. In addition to the main experience, I was able to learn so much from the Balinese culture and Hinduism and this experience will forever stay with me.

Amazing experience to spend time with Wayan, his family and the resident scientists to learn about this important project to recover the local fire fly population. We learned about the project, shared a fantastic dinner out in the garden at night and then had the opportunity to see the fireflies in their natural habitat. It's a once in a lifetime experience so highly recommend the tour.
