The walking tour was a great start to my trip to Singapore! Having arrived to work on a research project about urbanism, I happened to stumble upon the existence of Kampong Lorong Buangkok during a museum visit. Not knowing what to expect, the tour was incredibly informative! I've learned so much about the past and future of urbanism in Singapore (and how important the two are to one another). Walking around the neighborhood chatting with Yap felt like taking a walk with a very well informed friend. I highly recomend the tour for tourists looking to learn more about Singapore, but also to students or scholars who are looking to explore!

This was a really great walking tour with insight into Singapore history. Wonderful guide and nice intimate sized group. The added on dinner afterwards really topped off the day.

Despite being a local, I still learned so much about my own country in this 2hr walk. Time flew past really fast while I was listening to the stories shared by Alvin, our tour guide. He was really punctual, very knowledgeable about the history of Singapore, and was very open to sharing stories about his younger life. I'm grateful to have been on this short journey, and wish him all the best as he continues to inspire more people.
