Seriously LOVED this! Being a fan of both Big Bang theory and Stranger Things, I've always been very curious about D&D. It looked fun but I didnt get it. Tried it for the firsst time with colleagues while visiting SG and IT WAS SO GOOD. The host was not just super fun but also explained everything really well and clearly. Even as someone with ADHD and typically struggle to stay focused when people are explaining game rules/ technical information - he did it so well I got it within first time he explained. Can't rave enough about how much fun I had with this experience. TRYYYYY IT!!!!!

I just had my first-ever TTRPG experience, and WOW, what a blast! Our Lore Master, Suffyan, is an absolute legend. Seriously, the way he weaved the Singaporean myths and folklore into the story made it so engaging—felt like we were actually living the adventure. 🔮✨ Suffyan explained everything clearly, so even as a complete newbie, I didn’t feel lost or overwhelmed. Plus, the game was really fun and not at all intimidating! All in all, 10/10 experience! I highly recommend it to any first-timer out there who wants to join a TTRPG—it’s the perfect place to start!

Sabrina was a great host, this was literally at her house and she was really patient in guiding us through the game. While some players were already familiar with mahjong, a few only knew the Hong Kong version. Sabrina, together with the facilitators, took the time to explain the Singapore rules clearly and ensured everyone was comfortable before we started. As a group, it turned out to be a fantastic team-bonding activity for our colleagues across different SEA offices. Despite our varying levels of familiarity with the game, the smaller groups of three to four per table sparked great conversations and plenty of laughter. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect and have fun together.

Wan has a killer flair for running games with a local flavour. If you're as enamoured by Southeast Asian lore as I am, definitely try to snag a game with them. Meanwhile Nae's worlds of twisted whimsy are so much fun to play in, and a nice, pastel-fuelled break from the usual stoned walls of caverns and dungeons. The team also has a mix of resident and guest Lore Masters on the roster, so you can always expect fresh narratives and storytelling on the menu. What's also worth a little shout are also the players that come through the doors here at Lore Obscure. If you're a new person to TTRPG and have always wanted to give it a shot, don't worry about needing to round up friends and people just to fill the seats at the table! The community is supportive, and even if you're across the table from someone you've just met, the games by the Lore Masters here have a way of making you fast friends at the end of your session.
