Why these Yachts Made Our List

We’ve worked with many yachts in Singapore over the years and have tried most of them ourselves. Through years of testing and responding to guest feedback, we’ve gradually pruned the list to keep the best ones. The yachts you see here are our favourites in Singapore - the ones that are reliable, offer great service and good value.

How to Choose a Yacht

Other than price, here are a few things to consider when choosing a yacht:

  • Group size: Most yachts fit up to 35 people. For bigger groups, you can charter two yachts and dock them side by side
  • Type of yacht: Catamarans are nicer & usually have more outdoor space, so they’re great if you want people mingling
  • Water activities: Some yachts include fishing gear, kayaks or even e-foils
  • Food & drinks: Some yachts will charge for BBQ grilling fee, whereas others include food or waive the grill fee

Best Time to Go

Best time slots: Morning or afternoon charters are best for water activities as you have more daylight. Evening charters are great for sunset, but usually only allow about an hour of water activities before dark.

Best months: April–December is generally drier, so it’s better if you want to swim or do water activities. Even if it rains, showers in Singapore usually pass quickly! If you can, charter a yacht on National Day or New Year’s Eve to watch fireworks on the water!

Our Top Tips

  • Team building: For large groups, charter a yacht for 5 hours as it'll give you more time for water activities - large groups tend to need more time!

  • Birthdays or proposals: If you're planning a special occasion and need to decorate the yacht, leave a note in the booking form. You can usually go down 30 minutes before your charter time to decorate.

  • Food & Drink: Some yachts provide free food, or you can bring food to BBQ! BYOB is allowed but some yachts don't allow red wine.

Helpful Questions

Do yachts provide ice?

Most yachts provide an ice box, but you’ll need to bring your own ice. If a yacht provides complimentary ice, it will be listed in the inclusions.

You can also buy ice at Cold Storage or 7-Eleven at One 15 Marina Sentosa before boarding.

Do yachts provide drinking water?

Some yachts do, but not all. If drinking water is included, it will be mentioned in the inclusions. Otherwise, bring your own.

Can you bring your own food & drinks on a yacht in Singapore?

Yes. Most yachts allow you to bring your own food, soft drinks and alcohol. Some charge corkage for alcohol, and a few don’t allow red wine because it can stain the yacht.

You can also bring food to BBQ onboard. Some yachts include the grill for free, while others charge for grill rental, cleaning or a crew member to cook for you. Catering is available on only a small number of yachts.

Check whether ice, drinking water, plates and cutlery are included, as this varies between yachts. Most provide an ice box but require you to bring your own ice.

Can we bring food for a BBQ onboard?

Yes, and we highly recommend it - a BBQ day out on a yacht is super fun.

Note that there are two types of BBQ charges to look out for:

BBQ grill rental & cleaning – Many yachts provide this for free, while some charge a small fee.

Crew to help grill – If you’d rather not do the grilling yourself, you can pay extra for the crew to handle it for you.

Check the inclusions on the listing to see what’s provided!

Does the yacht provide food and drinks?

Most yachts require self-catering, but a few do provide catering:

  • Island Yacht – Offers free food as part of the price!
  • Valencia – Luxury catamaran with catering add-ons.
  • Monako – Offers a delicious Japanese yakiniku menu. The yacht owner owns Japanese restaurants in Singapore so you know the food will be good!
  • Wanderlust – Great for proposals - price includes wine & meal for two with a private chef on board.

Are cutlery and plates included?

This depends on the yacht. If it's not mentioned in the inclusions, then it’s not provided—so bring your own if needed!

Are Singapore yacht rentals suitable for children or family groups?

Yes, Yacht charters are great for families! Renting a yacht is actually our fave way to celebrate a special birthday with the family because there's something for everyone.

For those who love water activities, many yachts include kayaks, floating mats or other water toys. All yachts provide life jackets, including options for children, and usually have an indoor cabin, toilet and shower. And for those who don't love water activities, there's also karaoke and lots of indoor AC space for just eating, drinking and chilling out.

Note that young children should be supervised closely whenever they’re on deck or near the water. If you’re bringing a baby or young child, check that the yacht has the right-sized life jacket and enough shaded or air-conditioned space. Also, infants count towards the yacht’s total passenger capacity, even if they don’t join the water activities.

Is a baby considered one person?

Yes, infants count towards the total guest limit due to local safety regulations for yachts in Singapore.

We get that it’s frustrating to pay for a baby, but unfortunately, the yacht legally has to count them in the headcount.

Can I bring my dog onboard a yacht?

Yes! Many yachts in Singapore allow pets, but they may charge a pet-cleaning fee. See all the pet-friendly yachts here!

Can I book a yacht for a different timeslot?

Yes sure - some yachts are flexible on the timeslots and if there is no prior charter they are happy to do different timeslots (especially on weekdays). Just let us know!

Can I book the yacht for longer than 4 hours?

Yes! You can add extra hours in the booking form.

For groups of 20+ people, we recommend at least 5 hours so you have more time for water activities & BBQ.

Is the listed price the final price?

Yes! The price includes yacht hire and everything mentioned in the inclusions on the listing. No hidden charges!

Does the yacht price include GST?

Yes, all prices on Seek Sophie include GST, taxes, and service charges—what you see is what you pay.

Are there any additional charges?

If something is not mentioned in the inclusions, there may be an additional charge. Some common extra charges include:

  • BBQ grill rental
  • Corkage fees for alcohol
  • Crew to help with BBQ
  • Extra guests beyond the base capacity

Check the inclusions & exclusions on the yacht listing for specifics!

Are life vests included?

Yes, all yachts include life vests for safety. Life vests for children are also available.

Is air conditioning available?

Yes, almost all yachts have air conditioning in the cabin. If a yacht doesn’t have AC, it will be clearly mentioned in the listing.

Are shampoo, body wash, and towels provided?

No, none of the yachts provide towels or toiletries. Please bring your own if you plan to shower onboard.

Are there cabins and toilets onboard?

Yes, all yachts have cabins, toilets, and showers for guest use.

Will floaties be provided?

Some yachts provide floaties, but many have stopped offering them as they get damaged easily.

Tip: If you want something fun in the water, go for a watermat instead—they’re more stable and easier to use!

Check the listing inclusions to see whether floaties, watermats or other fun water toys are available!

Can we play our own music?

Yes! Most yachts have Bluetooth speakers so you can connect your own music. If you have specific audio needs, check with the yacht provider.

Many yachts also have KTV on board if you want to kick up the party a notch!

Is the city skyline tour worth it?

If you love taking photos, the city skyline tour is amazing! You’ll get to see MBS, Singapore Flyer, and the skyline from the water.

However, the tour cuts into your water activity time (you’ll get 2 hours instead of 3 for water fun), so it depends on what you prefer!

Can I add more people after booking?

Yes, if the yacht is not already at full capacity you can add them after the booking :)

Additional guests will be charged per person.

Can I view the yacht before booking?

Yacht viewings are tricky because they are usually out at sea.

If you’d like to view a yacht before booking, let us know your preferred dates/times (ideally several options), and we’ll try to arrange a slot for you.

What is the cancellation policy?

Policies vary—some yachts allow free cancellation within a period, while others have non-refundable bookings. Check your yacht’s listing page for details

Can we bring balloons to decorate?

No, balloons and confetti are NOT allowed at One 15 Marina Sentosa due to marine pollution rules.

Can we go early to decorate the yacht?

Yes, if the yacht has no earlier booking, you can board 30 minutes before departure to decorate.

Some yachts even provide birthday banners & decorations for free—check the inclusions list!

Can I give a yacht experience as a gift?

Yes! 🎁 You can buy a personalised gift card so your recipient can choose their own yacht & date.

Which yacht do you recommend?

We get asked that a lot - it depends on what you’re looking for!

  • Proposals → Try the Wine & Dine Yacht Experience for a romantic evening.
  • Team EventsThese spacious yachts can comfortably fit large groups.
  • Birthdays → Many yachts provide complimentary decor/cake/proseco for birthdays! Just take a look in the listing to see if this is mentioned.
  • Family OutingsThese yachts have lots of water activities to keep kids entertained. Or if you’re bringing doggo, check out the pet-friendly yachts

If you need other ideas, drop us a line and we’d be happy to help!

What is the best time slot to book?

  • Most popular: Afternoon (1-5pm or 4-8pm)
  • Best for activities: Morning (8am-12pm) – Cooler weather for water activities, plus you can end with a BBQ lunch!
  • Evening: Most cooling and great for afterwork chill. Note that water activities must end by 6:30pm as it gets dark.

Is the yacht large enough for 30-40 persons?

Check the yacht’s capacity in the listing. You can also filter by group size on the Seek Sophie website to find large yachts.

What happens if it rains?

If it rains, the final call on whether to go ahead is made by the yacht captain for safety reasons.

  • If it's Light drizzle: The yacht will still set sail.
  • If it's Heavy rain/storm: The trip may be delayed or rescheduled.
  • No refunds are given for rain-related rescheduling.

What’s the difference between a Singapore day charter and a sunset cruise?

A day charter takes place in the morning or early afternoon and gives you more daylight for swimming, kayaking and other water activities. On a typical four-hour trip to Lazarus Island, you’ll have around three hours for water activities after allowing for travel time.

A sunset cruise normally starts in the late afternoon and is better for cooler weather, sunset views and drinks on deck. However, water activities usually need to stop by around 6:30pm when it gets dark, so you may only have about an hour in the water.

The route can otherwise be similar—the main difference is whether you want more time to play in the water or a more relaxed sunset atmosphere.

How far in advance should I book a yacht for an event in Singapore?

There’s no fixed booking window, but we’d recommend booking two to four weeks ahead for the best choice of yachts and timings.

Book one to two months ahead if you want a popular weekend afternoon or sunset slot, or if your event falls on a public holiday, school holiday, National Day or New Year’s Eve. Weekday charters are usually easier to secure at shorter notice.

How much does it cost to rent a yacht in Singapore for a birthday party?

A private four-hour yacht charter starts from around S$620 for the entire yacht, usually for a small group of up to 10 people. Larger catamarans and luxury yachts can cost from around S$800 to several thousand dollars, depending on the yacht, group size and day of the week. Weekday charters are usually cheaper.

There isn’t normally an extra charge just because it’s a birthday. However, you may pay more for additional guests, food, BBQ services, decorations or extra hours. Some yachts include simple birthday decorations, cake or prosecco, so check the individual yacht’s inclusions!

Do Singapore yacht charters go to nearby islands like St. John’s or Lazarus Island?

Yes. Most Singapore yacht charters head to the Southern Islands, usually anchoring near Lazarus Island for swimming, kayaking, water activities and a BBQ. It takes around 30 minutes each way to reach Lazarus from the marina.

Some itineraries may also pass St. John’s Island, Kusu Island or other nearby islands. Yachts generally anchor offshore rather than provide a land tour, so check the itinerary if you specifically want to step onto an island or include a Singapore skyline cruise.

What is the minimum group size for a Singapore yacht charter?

There usually isn’t a minimum group size because you’re chartering the entire yacht privately. You can book one for a couple or a small family, but you’ll still pay the yacht’s base charter price.

The base price normally covers a set number of guests, with an additional fee for each person beyond that. Babies also count towards the yacht’s legal passenger capacity and may be chargeable.
