Helpful Questions
Can I bring a cake?
Yes you can! If it's a special occasion just let the host know when you're booking and they can also prepare something special :)
Can I buy this as a gift?
Yes! You can gift this as a private dining experience or get a gift card instead.
Your friend can then choose a date that works for them, so it’s easy and flexible.
Can dietary requirements be accommodated?
Often yes (e.g. vegetarian, allergies), but it depends on the chef and menu.
If you’re vegetarian or vegan, it’s usually easier to go with a Western-style private dining, as those menus are more flexible. Either way, just let the host know in advance so they can advise.
What is private dining?
Private dining is a more intimate way to eat out - usually in a chef’s home or a cosy private space, instead of a restaurant.
The chef cooks just for a small group, often sharing stories behind the dishes and tailoring the menu for the guests. It feels more personal, relaxed, and a lot more special than a typical meal out.
How do I book a private dining experience in Singapore?
You can book it directly on Seek Sophie - all our private dining experiences have been personally tested by the Seek Sophie team! Once you have made your booking with your host, you can also discuss your requirements and preferences - for e.g. if you're celebrating a special occasion.
Can I bring my own drinks?
Yes, you can! Most of our hosts don’t charge a corkage fee, so you’re welcome to bring your own drinks.
Just double check the listing details, and let us know in advance when you book so the host can prepare.
